Pauly was born on February 1, 1968, in Hollywood, California, to comedian Sammy Shore and the famous Comedy Store owner Mitzi Shore. Shore began his career in stand-up comedy at the age of 17 and went on to perform at various comedy clubs across the country. In 1990, he was hired as a VJ for MTV and became a popular host of the network's shows such as "Totally Pauly" and "MTV Spring Break."
Shore's big break came in 1992 when he starred in the film "Encino Man," which was a box office hit. He went on to star in several other popular comedies such as "Son in Law," "In the Army Now," and "Bio-Dome." Shore's comedy style, which was characterized by his goofy personality and catchphrases, made him a popular and lovable star.
In addition to his acting career, Pauly Shore has also worked as a writer and director.
